ELIGIBILITY

The Tattooing of Minors Act 1969 makes it illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to get a tattoo. Parental consent is not accepted. All customers will need to bring proof of age with them on the day, in the form of a photo ID such as a passport or driving license.

BOOKING APPOINTMENTS

Deposits for tattoos start at $100 and piercings start at $50 and must be paid at the time of booking your appointment. The deposit acts as a hold for the artist and their time. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and is put towards the final cost of your tattoo. 

Your deposit and appointment are booked for the consultation with the artist or staff at the time of booking. Your reference material and or fonts must be provided at the time of booking. Failing to provide reference material on time and making last-minute changes to your tattoo design may result in the loss of your appointment and your deposit.

Please let the artist or staff know if you have any financial concerns or restrictions, or prior engagements at the time of booking that might interfere with your appointment.

You must give at least 72 hours (3 days) notice to reschedule your appointment. Failing to do so will result in the loss of your deposit. Canceling your appointment entirely will also result in the loss of your deposit.

BEFORE YOUR TATTOO

Avoid partying (heavy drinking of alcohol or drug use) at least 48 hours prior to your tattoo appointment, as well as sun tanning and tanning beds. Get a good night's sleep prior to your appointment. The healthier you are beforehand the easier it will be for you and the artist to complete your tattoo session.

It is very important that you eat before your appointment. Heavier meals such as pasta, potatoes, etc, and fruit juices will help make your session easier to handle. Never get tattooed on an empty stomach.

Occasionally, due to circumstances, the artist may fall behind schedule. This can be caused by a number of uncontrollable issues. If you are on a tight schedule, feel free to call the shop before your appointment to see how the day is going.

DURING YOUR TATTOO

Remember to wear/bring appropriate clothing to your tattoo appointment (shorts, sweatpants, tank tops, etc) so that the area being tattooed is easily accessible to the artist.

Cell phones/devices of any kind must be shut off or put on silent before entering the tattoo room as they are a distraction to the artist. No videos/filming during your tattoo. If you’d like to listen to music/watch videos on your phone/device during your appointment please remember to bring headphones so as to not distract the artist.

If you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or we suspect that you are, we cannot tattoo you. You will be asked to leave and your deposit will not be refunded.

On the day of your appointment, a consent form will be provided for you to fill out. You'll be expected to disclose information about health conditions and medications. Certain conditions, medications, or medical histories will mean that we are not able to tattoo you.

We cannot tattoo you if you are pregnant or if you are breastfeeding.

We do not undertake offensive/racist tattoos.


Infinity Tattoo reserves the right to refuse to tattoo you for any reason.

AFTER YOUR TATTOO

Healing time for most tattoos is 2-3 weeks. During this time you’ll need to avoid tanning beds, sun tanning, and saunas as well as lakes, oceans, pools, hot tubs, baths (quick showers are ok), and any other body of water where bacteria may be present. Do your best not to over-expose the area of your body that has been tattooed.

Although guidelines to heal a tattoo vary from shop to shop, it is highly recommended that you follow our aftercare process. Failure to do so may result in a tattoo that does not show your idea or the artist’s work properly. Our healing guidelines are set for a reason.

After the 2-3 week healing process if you feel like your tattoo may need a touch-up, please consult with your artist first. There may be a small monetary charge for any and all touch-ups due to the use of materials and set-up costs

FONTS & LETTERING

If you are incorporating text or lettering into your tattoo you’ll need to decide on a font. Fonts (or typefaces) refer to the style of lettering used. Common fonts are Times New Roman, Helvetica, Courier, etc.

When selecting a font keep in mind more intricate/detailed fonts sometimes need to be bigger than you might anticipate accounting for spacing. Keep an eye out for spacing inside the letters (A, a, B, b, d, e, etc). It’s very common for intricate letters tattooed too small or spaced too closely to bleed into each other, leaving your tattoo looking less than amazing.
